Waiting for something / À espera de alguma coisa

Anxiously standing at the front of his house and staring the bottom of the path that gives it access, we might ask what this good man is waiting for... To say the truth, maybe he doesn't wait anything at all, his attention being catched by something for a second while he was just enjoying the pleasant shadow of the vines.

Well Paulo, there definitely is a story to this painting as there is with all your paintings. I'm not sure what the woman is doing, but she's definitely doing something. I like the way the chickens are loose and probably clucking happily. The gentleman seems ready to go somewhere. He was probably walking down the stairs saying his farewells and stopped at the front and was casually looking around. He heard some laughter and turned to look at this young couple laughing and hugging as they crossed the street on their way to the bakery. Apparently the doggie could hear the laughter because his tail is up which means his perception of things is at work. I think the man is just taking in a bit of life as it passes him by. Very nice painting. I love your work.

Gloria, I couldn't be more perfect if I wanted to write a story about what's happening here. Love your description and yes, it is very likely that his attention was caught by that young couple in their way to the local bakery. I'm so happy that this painting could inspire you for all that story and details. Thank you for sharing :)) Have a wonderful week!
