Another mountain village... / Outra aldeia serrana...

Yet another incursion on my favorite topic, the mountain villages where, as so often mentioned, the feat to pull a piece of arable land from an almost frightening cluster of inhospitable rocks was achieved... And such was the enthusiasm with which I approached this work, that only at the end I noticed a small detail missing: Where is everyone? Not a single little dot walking on the road or a street, nor in the fields. And not just people... The cattle grazing quietly in the meadows, for example, where is it? Is this village, by virtue of its abandonment, another victim of the sum of all the wrong policies that our governments have presented in over generations? Doesn't look like, as there is a smoke escaping from at least one chimney. Let us therefore believe that the few people who still resist decided to meet around a table, not far from a fireplace from which tempting perfumes escape, to celebrate something that only concerns them.

Hello Paulo,

I love this drawing!
Seems very peaceful place and
time goes very slow.
I wonder if someone try to
climb the rock mountain!?

Hi,
It is a very peaceful place indeed. Time goes very slow, ideal for soothing the restless souls and minds... And yes, it's very likely that someone tried to climb the rocks. I tried myself on similar ones but not always sucessfully :))

Have a wonderful day,
Paulo

I bet they're all up in the hills hiking around, building up an appetite for whatever dear mother is cooking in the fire! Great piece.
